MCE is a joint venture company owned and operated jointly between private sector management and Community Health Partnerships(CHP) a company owned by the Department of Health.  The board of directors ensures the business activities of the company are undertaken with due consideration to probity and are accountable to public scrutiny at all times.

This is monitored and controlled by the legal structure of the company having an independent Chair and directors from CHP.

Since other public sector organisations can use MCE within the scope of the public sector procurement process, a governing body representing all public sector Participants has been set up called the Strategic Partnering Board.  This board sits regularly and is chaired by a nominated public sector official. The board ensures that MCE operates within the scope of the Strategic Partnering Agreement and has to approve all new contract arrangements between MCE and the participants.

As a public sector provider, MCE fully embraces the duty of care it has to those who occupy, work, visit or receive treatment at our facilities.  The company takes this responsibility seriously and constantly reviews and improves its procedures and practices to ensure the health, safety and well being of these people at all times.
